A beautiful farm found in the tropical island of Puerto Rico.

Story

In 1998, the farm was bought by husband-wife team Chip and Dianne Meyer. Along with their two daughters, the couple packed their bags and settled in the small mountain town of Aibonito. Just within a couple of months, Hurricane Georges leveled approximately 75% of the greenhouses. Although the damage was severe, the family picked themselves up and began to rebuild.

Twenty four years later, after several setbacks such as Hurricane Maria and the Covid-19 pandemic, Meyer Nurseries has become one of the largest orchid and ornamental plant farms in the Caribbean. With tough greenhouses, clean facilities, and impeccable quality, Meyer Nurseries brings flowers and plants to thousands of homes on the island each year. The farm has become a big part of the island’s community, providing jobs, beauty and ultimately, joy.

“I must have flowers. Always and always.”

-Claude Monet

Mission

Quality – This extends from the products, service and commitment to our customers. The flowers are colorful and abundant; our greenhouses are clean and durable; and we are committed in delivering to our customer’s satisfaction.

Community – We take pride in giving stable jobs to the local families in the center of the rural areas of Puerto Rico, where jobs are scarce. We value the dedication of our employees and we recognize their worth.

Well-Being – Our products bring joy and beauty to every household in Puerto Rico. With the economical depression, we want to create an outlet for the people to find a source of hope and peace. We value self-care and the sacredness of nature.

“The earth laughs in flowers.”

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

"To plant is to believe in tomorrow."
